MAKING TRAXXAS

Dallas-Fort Worth
MAKING TRAXXAS
Milton Anderson, Marc Verduin and Ryan Schutt

Dirt started turning Monday at the Traxxas  200k SF corporate campus at Stacy Road and Henneman Way in Craig Ranch. Traxxas develops, manufactures, and distributes custom model racing cars, boats, and airplanes. They're all capable of racing at high speeds. (Need proof: Check your local ponds for guppies waving a checkered flag.) Here's the design/master plan team for the new 12-acre campus, Merriman Associates/Architects VP Milton Anderson, PM Marc Verduin, and design support staffer Ryan Schutt. The new corporate campus will include a Class-A office facility, a retail/ distribution facility and a museum/technology facility.

We've told you before that we can't resist ceremonial shovels. Here's McKinney economic development board chairman Keith Clifton, Milton, McKinney mayor Brian Loughmiller with his son—who came to help him shovel after a recent accident driving a race car, Traxxas prez Mike Jenkins and Craig Ranch developer and namesake David Craig. Completion for the project, which will be the first in the KDC-Craig Ranch corporate office park JV, will be late 2012, built by CF Jordan Construction.
