What calms you down after a stressful day? A nice glass of wine, you say. So, what’s more stressful that putting your car in the shop? Frank Kent Motor Co owners (and siblings) Will Churchill and Corrie Watson created the unconventional combination of upscale wine bar and specialty retail shop along with an automotive drop-off service center on the corner of Magnolia Avenue and Adams Street in Fort Worth’s Near Southside district. Called Kent & Co Wines, the 8,000 SF space should open in May as construction starts this month on the Jones Baker Architects designed space. Out-of-the-box thinking is the norm for these twins, remember their Frank Kent Cadillac groundbreaking with the crash of a ’53 Caddy? Not to mention the boutique wine shop and hummus bar inside that dealiership. The duo has developed their own private label wine, which is appropriately named: Piston Cabernet.
