BUILDING FUTURE ARCHITECTS
HKS VP Lorenzo Castillo
HKS VP Lorenzo Castillo (pictured with a DISD student) and other members of the AIA Dallas' Latinos in Architecture  committee donated more than 700 architecture and design books to local Dallas ISD high schools. The idea? To encourage and cultivate the next generation to enter into architecture as a career. And Lorenzo can lead by example, too: He's working as PM/associate principal on the El Banco Resort in Mexico (no price disclosed) and recently completed four international projects: the $16M Mukul Boutique Resort, under construction in Guacalito, Nicaragua; the first phase of the $65M Grand Solmar at Land’s End Resort and the $90M Capella Pedregal Resort, both in Cabo San Lucas; and the almost $2B Grand Venetian Macau in China. We’re thinking the frequent flyer miles ought to earn him a stay in one of those posh resorts.
