Truss, the tech platform that launched in February to provide tenants seeking office space of 10K SF or less with an interactive experience, completed a $7.7M Series A funding round led by Navitas Capital.

Additional investors include Hyde Park Angels. Truss granted a board seat to Kirkland & Ellis Chairman Jeffrey Hammes, and a board observer role to Jenner & Block Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director Meredith Mendes. Hyde Park Venture Partners is reinvesting after the initial seed round. Truss has raised over $9M in total capital and will use the latest round of funding to expand into new markets and product development.

In other Truss news, the firm has partnered with Matterport, a company offering 3D virtual reality tours of multifamily properties. Truss co-founder Tom Smith said Matterport wanted to find a partner on the commercial side of the industry, and Truss' strategic plan provided the type of scale that Matterport was looking for. Smith said Truss was blown away by the tech Matterport developed and will implement it into its own platform.
