Retail giant GGP completed its headquarters move from 110 North Wacker Drive to River North Point. The new three-floor, 176K SF office features an open office format with exposed ceilings, conference rooms, private phone rooms, collaboration hubs and gathering areas. The collaboration hubs are enclosed by curved glass.
GGP's office amenities include a third-floor café that opens onto a 10,500 SF private roof deck overlooking Wolf Point. GGP announced the headquarters move in August. Equity Office Senior Vice President David Moore, whose firm handles leasing at River North Point, said GGP chose the building for its location, large floor plates, access to public transportation and River North's neighborhood amenities.
Skender Construction was the general contractor for the build-out and worked with ARCHIDEAS and ESD on the design. GGP left 110 North Wacker because Riverside Investment & Development and The Howard Hughes Corp. are redeveloping the site into a 53-story tower. Construction of that new tower is expected to begin this spring.
