Introducing MiCA: Logan Square's Twin Towers

One of Logan Square's most anticipated multifamily developments is wrapping up construction, preparing for pre-leasing and now has a name. MiCA is an acronym for the development's main intersection near the corner of Milwaukee and California avenues.

The project consists of a 12-story structure at 2733 West Belden and an 11-story tower at 2210 West Washtenaw. When delivered this fall, it will contain a combined 216 units, along with 98 parking spaces and 9k SF of retail.

Construction on the project began last August and promotional materials suggest first rentals will move in this autumn, according to Curbed. MiCA developer Robert Buono and Logan Square residents negotiated changes to the project. Residents and community groups objected to MiCA's size and lack of affordable housing and increased congestion related to the project. One of the towers was scaled down from 15 stories. [Curbed]
