Financing the Future
|Through the magic of the CTA Brown Line, we swung over to the YREP Capital Markets luncheon at the DePaul Center, where we met Ticor Title Company's Shari Haefner, Newmark Knight Frank's Matt Lessner, and TCF Bank's Brian Bianchi. Brian says TCF is still lending, and he's working on a deal for a large insurance company that's looking for a new HQ. The University of Chicago's Rina Paz, One Step Realty's Matt Yang, and RSM McGladrey's Ronald Levin. Ronald's company is in charge of closing down banks, and he'll take part in his first closing early next month. Rina suggests Ronald will be busy: from her business class, she learned that as many as two-thirds of all American banks could close in the next five years.
