Charlotte-based Tribek Properties has filed a rezoning petition for a 20K SF Aldi store, which could be part of the proposed Bayshore Plaza redevelopment, according to the Charlotte Business Journal. Bayshore Plaza is about 10 miles north of Uptown Charlotte in Huntersville, one of several booming towns along Lake Norman.

The 5.1-acre site, which is anchored by a Rite Aid, has approximately 52K SF of retail. The rezoning petition indicates the Bayshore Plaza redevelopment would include Aldi, 12K SF of other retail space and a center reconfiguration that can accommodate the future widening of Statesville Road, the main thoroughfare where the shopping center is located. Southstar Holdings Huntersville LLC, which is affiliated with Tribek Properties, acquired the retail center for $245K last year, according to Mecklenburg County real estate records.
