Rockefeller Group, known for New York’s Rockefeller Center, has purchased about 60 acres with plans for a 370K SF industrial speculative building in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

Lakemont77, inside the Lakemont Business Park off Steele Pointe Drive along Interstate 77, will feature 36-foot ceiling heights, automobile parking and trailer storage.

“Rockefeller Group has long recognized Charlotte as a prime target for industrial development and this site is ideal,” Rockefeller Group Southeast Region Senior Vice President and Regional Development Officer John Petricola said in a statement.

Avison Young is the leasing agent. “We are excited to bring Rockefeller Group and new speculative product to the Charlotte market,” Avison Young principal and Managing Director Christopher Skibinski said.

The building should be complete in Q3.
