|With its growing population and reasonably good jobs outlook, retailers like the Carolinas—and Charlotte in particular.|
|Demand for services such as property management and investment sales in Charlotte-area retail space has steadily increased over the past several years, Shopping Center Group partner Alex Munoz (with partner Andy Misiaveg) tells us. Those are the specialties that the company is working to expand. "It's the next logical step," he says. Most recently, the company repped Hawthorne Retail in its $3.9M acquisition of the 56k SF Northcross Commons, a Food Lion-anchored neighborhood center in Huntersville.|
The company has also repped a number of the new retailers in the Carolinas recently, including Smashburger, whose Charlotte location was the chain?s first in the Carolinas, and Tilly?s in Cary, alsoits first Carolinas location. Other retailers coming to the region have preferred South Carolina as their entry point to the area, and the Shopping Center Group has repped them as well: Frank Entertainment in Rock Hill and Christmas Tree Shops in Greenville.
