PRESBY COMPLETES $58M F-WING

Charlotte's Presbyterian Hospital, part of the Novant Health network, just completed a 100k SF, $58M expansion of its medical center at Hawthorne Lane, adding 90 new patient rooms plus a 20-bed cardiac triage unit. That brings the hospital?s total local bed count to more than 600. The four-story addition, dubbed ?The F-Wing,? was built on top of Presby?s existing cancer center. The new space will also have a public safety and emergency management office and 5,000 SF of classroom space. It even has a helipad, a first for the Hawthorne campus. (Helicool.) Rodgers Builders was GC and McCulloch England Associates was architect. Presby is still working on a $43M, 40k SF expansion, ?The G-Wing,? (the money they saved on branding went straight into finding more flattering hospital gown technology); that's due for completion in October.
