The CRVA attributes the climb to a steady flow of convention business, (whose attendees often stay at The Westin, above) a trend the CRVA expects will continue into next year. Charlotte February occupancy was 60.8%, up 3.4% from the same month last year. A total of 547,879 rooms were rented during the month, setting a new record for February. The average daily rate (ADR) was $83.55 in February, up 1.4% from February 2010. Year-to-date, Charlotte'saverage rate was $81.72, up 3% from the same period last year. Statewide, ADR year-to-date rose 2%, compared to a national average of 2.7%.
