LA-based GEO Plastics, a maker of blow-molded and injection-molded parts for industry (as compared to, you know, private collections), recently paid $3M for the 60k SF former Jackson Tube Service building on Westinghouse Boulevard. The company, which also got about 20 acres in the deal, expects to add about 30 new jobs to the local market in the next three years. It's an East Coast expansion that GEO CEO Mike Morris says resulted from Charlotte's infrastructure, competitive costs, and proximity to key customers. Doug Wynne of Perennial Commercial Real Estate repped GEO. Peter Bergen of Kirco Realty Services Group repped the seller, Jackson Tube. Wynne is marketing about 10k SF of the space for lease at $9.50/SF.
