ERI BRINGS 200 JOBS TO STANLY
Electronic Recyclers International open plant in Stanly County; company chairman and CEO John Shegerian
Electronic Recyclers International, one of the world's largest recyclers of electronic waste, recently announced that it will open a regional recycling hub in Stanly County?s Badin community, creating 200 ?green-collar jobs.? It's the first Southeastern recycling operation for the Fresno-based company. Mushrooming new technologies have rendered older devices obsolete, says ERI chairman and CEO John Shegerian. That led to a major spike in electronic waste. ERI, which plans to begin hiring immediately, will start operations in 165k SF of temporary space at Badin Business Park in July. It plans to move into a permanent 165k SF space at the park by January 2012.
