CASEY CRAWFORD GOES LONG…
At last. Casey Crawford, the former Carolina Panther tight - Bob Morgan, Charlotte Chamber CEO

At last. Casey Crawford, the former Carolina Panther tight end, may not have had a storied career in the NFL. But after two seasons with the Panthers, the Virginia native decided to stay in Charlotte and make a more lasting impression in the field of mortgage banking. Casey (shown here with Charlotte Chambe CEO Bob Morgan) announced today that his New American Mortgage company is merging with Charlotte-based Paramount Lending in a deal that could create as many as 150 new jobs in the next three years. Casey founded New American in 2008 from the flames of the mortgage industry collapse. But he and business partner Toby Harris have not only survived but thrived, and now boast 50 offices in nine states. The merger with Paramount is expected to result in more than $1B in loan volume this year generating $50M in revenue.
