BABY, IT WAS BUILT THIS WAY
|Is Charlotte on a fault line? Actually, the Charlotte office of Choate Construction recently completed a $20M WonderWorks interactive museum in Myrtle Beach, SC. It's the fourth of its kind for Orlando-based WonderWorks, which describes its attractions as ?amusement parks of the mind.?|
The 40k SF, four-story structure offers more than 100 interactive exhibits, including gadgets that simulate being blown away by a hurricane, sitting at the controls of a space shuttle, and riding a virtual roller coaster. WonderWorks has built similar attractions in Orlando, Panama City, Fla., and Pigeon Forge, Tenn. CCDI was construction manager and Goodwyn, Mills & Cawood was project architect.
