Wayfair Plans First Full-Service Store At Natick Mall

The Natick Mall

Wayfair’s first full-service retail offering will launch in the Boston suburbs.

The online home goods retailers will open its first full-service store at the Natick Mall this fall. Wayfair previously offered in-person retail experiences through pop-up stores at the Natick Mall and New Jersey’s Westfield Garden State Plaza, the Boston Globe reports. Wayfair plans to continue its pop-up strategy with four openings this summer.

The Boston-based company also operates an outlet store from a warehouse it runs in Kentucky. The 3,700 SF Natick store will provide design consultation, and customers will be able to buy products and schedule home deliveries.

Wayfair still banks on almost all of its $7B annual revenue coming from online sales, according to the Globe.

The e-commerce company has expanded its Massachusetts footprint significantly in the last year, including a 400K SF office expansion across 500 Boylston and 222 Berkeley St. and around 300K SF across 10 St. James and 75 Arlington in Back Bay. Wayfair received $31.4M in Massachusetts tax incentives for the 10 St. James/75 Arlington expansion and a planned call center in Pittsfield.

The company is headquartered in 655K SF at Copley Place.
