Boston, French Team Work To Redevelop Back Bay Dorm Into Multifamily

An older Back Bay dormitory is getting a French upgrade, thanks to a trans-Atlantic partnership.

Boston-based real estate development and investment firm Chevron Partners has acquired the double brownstone at 260-262 Commonwealth Ave. from Bay State College. The $14M deal was brokered by Carl Christie and Dan McGee of NAI Hunneman.

Chevron will work with Parisian developer Fulton to redevelop the old dorm into Maison Commonwealth, the firm's second Maison-branded development. The luxury condo conversion is expected to be completed by spring of 2019. Beacon Hill’s Maison Vernon, Chevron’s first Maison project, will hit the market by the end of this summer.
