One of Boston’s biggest concert venue companies has its eyes set on Brighton.

Concert promoter The Bowery Presents, owner of venues like The Sinclair in Cambridge and booker for Royale in downtown Boston, is planning to open a 3,500-person performance venue at Boston Landing. The venue will be incorporated into a running track facility Boston Landing developer NB Development Group plans to break ground on in early April.

“We are proud to be part of the fabric of the Boston music community, and we are excited to continue our growth as part of New Balance’s new development at Boston Landing,” The Bowery Presents partners Jim Glancy and John Moore said in a prepared statement.

The whole facility is expected to open by 2021, and NB Development hopes it becomes a hub for track events. Boston Landing is dominated by athletic-related development, as it is already home to New Balance’s headquarters as well as training facilities for the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins.

The concert venue will expand The Bowery Presents’ Allston-Brighton concert footprint, as the company also operates the 220-person Great Scott in Allston.

“We are excited to be working with The Bowery Presents as they bring their culture of nurturing and presenting the best musical acts to enhance Allston-Brighton’s rich music performance history at Boston Landing,” NB Development Group Managing Director Jim Halliday said in a prepared statement.
