One of Cambridge’s largest mixed-use proposals can finally move forward after clearing its last legal hurdle Monday.

An executive with Twining Properties, the developer of the proposed Mass + Main project in Central Square, said the company reached a deal with the Massasoit Elks Lodge to drop its lawsuit against Cambridge over the impact the 283-unit project would have on the surrounding neighborhood.

A petition had circulated to reduce the height of the 195-foot development to 150 feet, Cambridge Day reports. The project, which includes ground-floor retail and has 20% of its units reserved for affordable housing, is expected to be open by fall 2019.
