Getting ready for a major industry event, the 17th annual United Way breakfast on Oct. 28th, are some of the organizers: JLL?s Ben Heller, Terra Nova Partners' Polly Bryson, United Way?s Joyce Halkin, The Beal Cos.? Robert Beal, Marcus Partners' Paul Marcus, Nutter McClennen & Fish?s Marianne Ajemian, FHO Partners' Brian Hines, and not pictured but busy on the phone, Rockpoint Group's John Stonestreet. With 1100 guests expected, attendance for the room at the Westin Copley Hotel is nearing capacity. It's a prime networking opportunity but also gets results in our communities. Last year, it raised $2.8M for United Way partner agencies to provide housing for 3,049 families, prevent 9,488 others from becoming homeless, and teaching financial skills to 4,025 people. This year?s keynote is Boston Properties'Mort Zuckerman.
