BISWIRE/May 28, 2025 — Smart parking platform Parkable has appointed Joe Stokes, Group VP, Global Product Lead Property Management at CBRE, to its Board of Directors, as the company accelerates growth in the U.S. commercial real estate market.

Stokes brings expertise in real estate operations, tenant experience, and product development having led innovation at REITs Dexus, and GPT Group, and PropTech pioneer Equiem. His appointment comes at a pivotal time, with landlords under pressure to adapt to hybrid work, optimize building operations, and increase asset value amid rising debt and tighter margins.

“Parkable is turning parking from an overlooked operational problem into a strategic tenant amenity,” says Stokes.

“I’m excited to join the Board and contribute to a company that is solving a real-world problem with a smart product, strong team, and a major market opportunity while continuing my role at CBRE.”

Parking in commercial buildings hasn't kept up with building amenity improvements, it’s expensive to run, hard to monitor, full of underused spaces and frustrating for tenants.

Parkable takes a different approach. Its platform automates parking management, slashes admin, boosts efficiency, and delivers a better experience for parkers.

“We’re built for tenants and parkers,” says Toby Littin, CEO of Parkable.

“We’re not just managing parking, we’re helping landlords drive renewals, increase attendance, and unlock new value from every square foot.”

“Winning for tenants means winning for landlords, when landlords see parking as a key amenity rather than an operational challenge, they unlock new value for their properties, improve tenant satisfaction, and ultimately drive stronger commercial outcomes,” says Littin.

Parkable’s 2024 research shows that 78% of tenants say parking influences their leasing decisions, a key consideration in today’s competitive CRE market.

“Joe’s appointment strengthens our ability to guide U.S. landlords looking to modernize their portfolios,” Littin says.

“His leadership in PropTech makes him the perfect partner to help us deliver smart parking that drives NOI and tenant retention.”

“Joe is one of those people you want on your side — sharp, collaborative and a great cultural fit.”

Parkable is already working with leading U.S. landlords, including Urban Innovations and NY Creates, and is expanding rapidly across North America. Globally, it supports major CRE clients like Lincoln Property, Soapworks, and Revlon across markets in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.

“We’re reimagining parking not as infrastructure buried at the base of a building, but as a valuable asset that directly supports landlords’ commercial outcomes,” Littin concludes.
