More Companies Are Moving To Paradise

Relaxing in Paradise: Rob Groves from Argent and Ian Holder from Mazars

The lure of Paradise has proved too strong for a third Birmingham professional firm.

Accountancy business Mazars has signed up for 11.7K SF at Two Chamberlain Square, part of Federated Hermes’ 2M SF Paradise development in central Birmingham. The firm will relocate its 200-strong Birmingham team from offices on Church Street.

The deal follows an 18K SF signing to listed business and professional services consultancy Knights. The company’s Birmingham team will move from Lancaster House on Newhall Street.

DLA Piper kicked off leasing at the 183K SF block at Two Chamberlain Square, locking down 40K SF in November.

Argent, development managers for Hermes on the 17-acre project, promised further lettings announcements will come in the very near future.

“There is still a healthy demand for new workspaces that can accommodate different and adaptable working practices as businesses continue to respond to the changing environment,” Argent Regional Director Rob Groves said.

Paradise recently tacked toward residential development with plans for a 49-storey residential building as part of its next phase of development. The next commercial building, the 280K SF One Centenary Way, is also under construction and will complete in late 2022.

Paradise is being delivered through Paradise Circus Limited Partnership, a private-public joint venture between Birmingham City Council and Federated Hermes, which has partnered with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board on the first phase of the development.

Philippa Pickavance Real Estate acted for Mazars, and Avison Young and CBRE advised Paradise on the letting.
