Downtown Baltimore Adds Jobs

Placeholder

Downtown Baltimore added jobs and city residents last year, but failed to gain more office and retail tenants, according to the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore's annual report. (More people, yet the same space being used: a boon for the deodorant industry.) About 16% of offices and 10% of retail spaces remained vacant, both up slightly from 2013, while downtown's retail vacancy is double that of the metro area, the Baltimore Sun reports. Downtown added 1,600 jobs downtown, a 1.4% gain, and 635 residents, up 1.5%. [Sun]
