French-Canadian circus Cirque du Soleil glides into Baltimore June 9-12 at the Royal Farms Arena with TorukThe First Flight. Inspired by James Cameron’s Avatar, the show’s story takes place thousands of years before the events depicted in the film on the mythical land of Pandora.

We got a few stats from the show’s publicists to take you into the weekend. The show’s creators will hire 130 stagehands to spend half a day setting up the 15k SF stage floor. Another 150 will spend about four hours to tear it down to go to the next city: Duluth, GA. The show relies on 27 semis to transport the equipment, including more than 1,000 costume items, including shoes, headpieces and necklaces.
