Columbia's Corporate Office Properties Trust has tapped Stephen E. Budorick as its next president and CEO, effective after the company's May shareholder meeting.

He will succeed Roger A. Waesche Jr., 60, who has been with the company since 1984. Under Waesche (pictured), COPT delved into urban real estate, with plans for a massive $1B waterfront project called The Waterfront at Canton Crossing, according to the Baltimore Business Journal reports.

Budorick has been COO and EVP since he joined the company in 2011. [BBJ]
