At Owings Mills Transit LLC's groundbreaking on three buildings at Metro Centre on Tuesday: County Exec Kevin Kamenetz, Davis S. Brown Enterprises chair Howard Brown, County Councilman Kenneth Oliver, Stevenson University's Tim Campbell, and Howard's grandson David Adler. What started are two five-story buildings totaling 28k SF of retail and 120 market-rate apartments and a four-story, 200k SF Class-A office building. They'll deliver early next year. To follow are another 1M SF of office, 272k SF of retail, and 1,580 apartments. A 120k SF building for the Baltimore County Public Library and the Community College of Baltimore is already under construction. (Educational real estate development, along with art collecting, are Howard's hobbies.) |
