IS IT FRIDAY YET?
Rad DeTar, land use, Miles & Stockbridge, commercial real estate, attorney, Baltimore, Baltimore State of the Market, Bisnow, permit
Our first-ever Baltimore State of the Market is tomorrow morning at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel. Miles & Stockbridge ace Rad DeTar is moderating, and he tells us land use is the only area of Maryland law where new legislation is applied retroactively (unless the legislature specifies otherwise). Any change in the law means new opportunities for developers, as well as those hoping to challenge their projects. Lawsuits can be costly and jeopardize projects altogether if the entitlement process isn't carefully guided to get and defend approvals (and to discourage appeals). Rad specializes in making sure development projects are air-tight on that front (and that means looking through lots of documents). This is your last chance to sign up for tomorrow!
Kurt Sturn, Reznick Group, Baltimore State of the Market, moderator, accountant
Reznick Group's Kurt Sturn, a new addition to the downtown office, is our other moderator. If you like sailing, track him down before or after the event to say hi. He's a dedicated sailor and has gone as far as Dubai. (OK, technically this is your last chance to sign up!)
