Stuart Kaplow, Mary Pulcinella, and David Pratt at The Hotel at Arundel Preserve on Jan. 26, 2012
Thursday was also the USGBC Maryland chapter's annual Wintergreen awards at The Hotel at Arundel Preserve. Celebrating were sustainability and green building lawyer Stuart Kaplow (who just wrapped up two years chairing the chapter and tells us he touched 81 green building projects this year), chapter exec director Mary Pulcinella, and Lorax's David Pratt, whose LoraxPro LEED certification software won the President's Award. He says Lorax partnered with USGBC to create LEED Automation, a program that integrates LEED-Online with third-party software like its own. Mary tells us Maryland USGBC will host tours of Wintergreen-winning buildings throughout the year (stay tuned to the organization'swebsite or sign up for the newsletter). The next call for nominations will go out in early September.
