Affordable Housing Planned For Mondawmin Mall Area

Enterprise Community Partners will break ground next spring on a 70-unit, affordable housing complex across from Mondawmin Mall in Northwest Baltimore.

Metro Heights will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom units with 32 parking spots, the Baltimore Business Journal reports. The majority of the units will be dedicated to low- and moderate-income residents while 15% will be reserved for non-elderly disabled tenants. It will take about a year to complete the 90k SF complex, which will be built on vacant lots behind a Reisterstown Road mural.

Marks, Thomas Architects designed the building, which received schematic approval from Baltimore's Urban Design and Architecture Review Panel, but awaits design approval. [BBJ]
