LA Law Firm Moving Into Bank Of America Plaza

Bank of America Plaza, at 1,023 feet, is the tallest building in Atlanta.

A Los Angeles law firm is the latest leasing success for Atlanta's tallest office tower.

Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP leased 48K SF, the full 46th and 47th floors, at Bank of America Plaza in Atlanta, moving from its current location at 1180 Peachtree St. Lewis Brisbois only occupies 21,600 SF at 1180 Peachtree, according to CoStar. The firm is expected to move into the 55-story tower by April.

“Securing a major lease with a top national law firm in this environment is significant and demonstrates that premier office buildings located within emerging workplace hubs have added buffers during this short-term economic uncertainty,” CBRE Executive Vice President Jeff Keppen said in a release.

Keppen represented the landlord, Shorenstein Properties, along with CBRE Vice President Nicole Goldsmith. Lewis Brisbois was represented by Avison Young principals Jonathan Larsen, Rick Nash, Chandler Larsen and Associate Molly Millard.

Last year, Shorenstein secured a string of deals at Bank of America Plaza, including with Convoy, a software company that secured a long-term lease for 49K SF in December, and packaging company D.S. Smith, which signed a 13K SF lease.

Since acquiring Bank of America Plaza in 2017 from special servicer CW Capital, Shorenstein has renovated the tower and repositioned it to target technology tenants that are proliferating in Midtown. Most recently, Shorenstein completed a $10M renovation that includes new amenities and a 17K SF food hall.
