Floor & Decor Makes Headquarters Relocation, Expansion Official

Storefront For Atlanta-Based Floor & Decor

Floor & Decor is making its move to 2500 Wildwood official, along with an additional 500 new jobs.

Gov. Nathan Deal announced that the Cobb County-based flooring and home improvement retailer is expected to create 500 jobs over the next five years as it expands and relocates its headquarters.

As Bisnow previously reported, Floor & Decor will move from a nondescript, single-story office building at 2233 Lake Park Drive in Smyrna, where it leases some 116K SF, to the 15-story 2500 Wildwood tower, set in a wooded enclave in one of Atlanta's prominent suburbs that was the former home to Coca-Cola Enterprises. A source familiar with the deal told Bisnow that Floor & Decor would lease 200K SF.

The governor's office said the new jobs would include administrative and customer service positions with the retailer. Floor & Decor operates 95 warehouse-format stores in 26 states, including seven in Georgia. In February, the company opened a 1.4M SF distribution center outside of Savannah, which employs over 100 people.

A specialty flooring and home improvement retailer, Floor & Decor made its Wall Street debut in 2017 by raising more than $100M and currently trades on the New York Stock Exchange. Under the economic development name “Project Leap,” Floor & Decor executives are in talks with Cobb County for possible incentives to aid in the move to 2500 Wildwood, just 3 miles away from its Smyrna headquarters, sources previously told Bisnow.
