Coda Commences Vertical Construction

Portman Holdings, Georgia Tech and city officials were on hand for the groundbreaking ceremony today for Coda, the $375M, 770k SF high-tech tower on West Peachtree Street in the heart of GT's Tech Square.

Officials say Coda will have a more than $800M in economic impact with 2,400 on-site jobs once delivered. Other tenants so far include ThyssenKrupp and Next Tier HD, which will operate the 80k SF data center.

Portman nailed down financing this past November with JPMorgan Real Estate Banking and Fifth Third Bank, along with an equity investment by China Orient Asset Management International. Portman's Travis Garland, along with JLL's Kevin Lott, Jeff Bellamy and Adam Viente, have been tapped to lease the remaining office space.
