Atlanta-based AssuranceAmerica Corp. is on the move to a bigger headquarters.

The insurance provider has signed a 25K SF, full-floor lease at Galleria 100, Piedmont Office Realty Trust Chief Operating Officer George Wells announced during the firm's earnings call Wednesday.

The insurance firm signed a 10-year lease to move its headquarters from RiverEdge One at 5500 Interstate North Parkway, where it leases less than 19K SF, according to Avison Young data.

The new headquarters lease at the 414K SF Galleria 100 tower follows Piedmont landing a 77K SF headquarters lease for GE Vernova at 600 Galleria in October.

“Securing another corporate headquarters at Galleria, our ninth since 2022, continues to support a flight-to-quality theme, or more aptly as Piedmont sees it, a flight-to-placemaking experience,” Wells said.

Colliers Senior Vice Presidents Fred Sheets and Andrew Walker represented the insurance company, while JLL Executive Managing Directors Adam Viente and Jeff Bellamy worked on behalf of Piedmont.

AssuranceAmerica added to positive momentum of office demand in Metro Atlanta for Piedmont, Wells said. Over the past few years, Piedmont’s Atlanta portfolio occupancy has risen from 84% to 92%.
