College Park's first multifamily project in 40 years brought out the city's literati for a groundbreaking this week. ThePad on Harvard, a mixed-use TOD just a football punt away from the College Park MARTA station, broke ground with city and business leaders for its first phase: a 109-unit apartment complex. The project, which will include a future phase of 75k SF of office, is being done in a JV between Air Realty Partners and HJ Russell. Here we have HJ Russell's Michael Russell, GigaWord Communications' Julie Hairston, Air Realty's Romel Canete and Rod Mullice, and HJ Russell's Jerome Russell. The developers secured $10.5M in construction financing from Atlantic Capital Bank earlier this year for the apartment.
