Foreign Developer Moving Forward On Massive Central Perimeter Project
A group of foreign developers shrouded in mystery are taking the next steps to transform Central Perimeter into Sydney, Australia.
A family trust with past projects in Korea and Australia has approached regional planners for approval of 1117 Perimeter Center West, a massive five-tower mixed-use project that could include office, residential and retail.
The developer filed a DRI with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for the 13-acre project, seeking approval for more than 1.5M SF of office, nearly 1,600 residential units, and another 188k SF of commercial space.
Stonewalk Cos' Rob Forrest, who is representing the developers locally in their quest for zoning approval, previously told us that the family views Metro Atlanta much like Sydney was 20 years ago, and this intensity of development in what is a suburban market is warranted.
