Fuqua Breaks Ground in Duluth
First he gets new offices, now Fuqua Development's Jeff Fuqua has a new mixed-use development. This time in the City of Duluth. We got renderings for Fuqua's latest mixed-use project in metro Atlanta: Sugarloaf Market, a 31-acre mixed-use project that includes 75k SF of retail and 330 luxury apartments called The Heights at Sugarloaf and developed by The Worthing Cos at the intersection of Sugarloaf Parkway and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.
Anchored by Sprouts Farmers Market, the retail lineup also includes Chipotle Mexican Grill, Panda Express, Orange Theory Fitness, RaceTrac, Waffle House and Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. Among the people who turned out for an official groundbreaking last week: Pope & Land Enterprises' Kerry Armstrong, Duluth councilman Jim Dugan, Fuqua's Heather Correra, Worthing's Darin Collier, Jeff, Duluth Mayor Nancy Harris, council members Billy Jones and Kelly Kelkenberg, Gwinnett county commissioner Jace Brooks, BB&T's Frank Mann, Worthing's Bernard Mannelly and Duluth city manager James Riker.
