A Year After Expanding To Atlanta, FCL Builders Regional Office’s Project Pipeline Tops 2.1M SF

FCL Builders, the dominant industrial GC in the Chicagoland region and Midwest, is celebrating its 40th anniversary and marking the first anniversary of the opening of its third office, after Chicago and Dallas, in Atlanta.

FCL Georgia is currently building approximately 2.1M SF of bulk distribution in the Southeast for Prologis, Exeter, DCT and The Pauls Corp. The Atlanta team is comprised of Kyle Holbrook, Eddie Slay, Nathan Townsend and Greg Fisher.

From projects ranging from 50k SF to 3.4M SF, FCL is best-known for the design/build or bid/build construction of warehousing, distribution, cold storage, USDA food processing and manufacturing facilities. The team also works on redeveloping brownfield sites, horizontal infrastructure, earthmoving and site preparations.

More important than the numbers and stats, FCL continues to grow because the company differentiates itself from competing industrial GCs by serving as its customers’ tenacious advocate and professional service provider. Eddie says FCL genuinely cares about its customers, its projects and its people. This sentiment is pervasive throughout the company, resulting in an average tenure of an FCL superintendent of 18 years, 14 for an FCL project manager.

The office in Atlanta is managed by VP Eddie (above). Eddie has over 20 years of industrial experience in the Southeast and has deep expertise in varying soil conditions and site preparations common in the Southeast. He maintains that FCL's commitment to engendering a collaborative approach to each project is integral to its success, and has thus sought out and assembled a group of experienced project managers and field personnel with proven backgrounds.
