This tree is about to fall, and so are the prices. Walmart is headed to East Point with the help of Ledbetter Properties—the
first significant retail development in the Camp Creek area since North American Properties established Camp Creek Marketplace nearly a
decade ago. Ledbetter's
Wright Ledbetter says Walmart actually
instigated the interest in the area. His firm will start
demolishing a condemned duplex and will develop the
164k SF Super Walmart along with
20k SF of other retail and four potential outparcels. "We have interest in almost all of it," he says, including two LOIs for the retail space. Wright concedes that the retailer interest in the project is because of Walmart: "
They were the catalyst."
