We got some news during the coffee schmooze of our
3rd Annual Future of Buckhead event yesterday at Buckhead Tower. We met with Newburger-Andes'
Steve Farrar and Metcalf Davis'
Wayne Williams, complete with an
arm in a sling. The avid biker
crashed recently, breaking his collar bone and ribs, he tells us. (We miss work when we get a paper cut so kudos to Wayne.) And it happened just as he got home from an extended ride. "Other real estate professionals who have been responsible for bike lanes and other such improvements just
look at you and roll their eyes."
Marcus & Millichap came out in force yesterday, with
Don McMinn, Zachary Taylor, Andrew Winston and
Tyler Fish (here with Stafford Properties'
Steve Edwards). Don just sold a McDonalds and a Krispie Kreme at Doraville Plaza and is still marketing the shopping center for sale, he says.
We also chatted with our
sponsor Allied Barton, here with
Mike Ricketts, Kevin Mueller, Ted Low and
Bill Opppenheimer, who tell us the private security firm just
inked a deal to provide security at Daniel Corp's 12
th and Midtown project. And they have some caution for all you
social media aficionados: More companies are
vetting potential employees' Facebooks and Twitter accounts. Keep 'em clean, ya'll.
