This morning, we snapped the Buckhead Plaza development site; it's been about 75 days since Ben Carter told The Wall Street Journal he hoped to complete negotiations within a month to raise $200 million to jumpstart his ambitious Streets of Buckhead retail project. But cranes sit still in the Southern sunshine. Still, we're not counting Ben out. He persuaded Nordstrom to open a store at the Mall of Georgia, 35 miles from the heart of Atlanta, when competitors scoffed at the idea. And he has a special interest as a Buckhead native.
