| We snapped the Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta yesterday after learning Fairwood Capital acquired the 119-key (do you like our hotel lingo?) downtown hotel for an undisclosed price. The seller is a partnership led by Cooper Hotels of Memphis, which converted a historic office building to the Hampton in 1999. Cooper paid $1.8M for the building in 1997, according to Fulton County records. Fairwood says it will upgrade the hotel near Centennial Olympic Park to "like new" condition by completely renovating guestrooms and public areas, including the Hampton ?Perfect Mix? lobby. |
