It's with sad news that we report Dale Henson Associates founder
Dale Henson passed away after a battle with cancer. The Wilbert Group's
Tony Wilbert brought an
AJC obituary to the market's attention this morning. Dale—known for his
sharp insight into Atlanta's
multifamily market—was one of the first voices in commercial real estate to
air concern about what he eventually termed "
condomania" and the eventual condo market crash here. We snapped this of Dale at a lunch with
Bob Nagel at the Capital City Club in 2011, one of the last times
we spoke with him. At the time, he expressed frustration over multifamily market fundamentals, telling us,
"It's the jobs, stupid. And we're not getting them." Our thoughts go to Dale's family. According to the
AJC, services will be
Nov. 14 at H.M. Patterson and Son, Spring Hill Chapel.
