BREAKING NEWS: Atlantic Station Retail
We thought this week might be a little slow because so many Atlantans are on Spring Break. Alas, we were wrong. Big stories— one involving the $2 billion Atlantic Station development—are breaking as we type.

BREAKING NEWS: Atlantic Station Retail

We snapped this  moments ago  of Town Center at Atlantic Station, the retail heart of the huge mixed-use project; it could soon have a new owner. Late yesterday, Eastdil Secured kicked off marketing aimed at finding a buyer for the 586K SF open-air shopping center.AIG Global Real Estate and Jacoby Group developed the retail at the former Atlantic Steel Mill site. The ultra-high-profile center is 87% leased and home to dozens of retailers like Gap, Ann Taylor, Publix, H&M and Jos. A. Bank. There's no official asking price yet. We couldn't get comment from Eastdil retail guru Eric Zimmermann, so we'll rely on the marketing materials: ?Town Center at Atlantic Station offers an investor the rare opportunity to own one of only a few urban, infill, regional destinations in the US Sunbelt—the nation's dominant population and employment growth region.?
