Apartment Sales are Up

Selling apartment buildings is getting easier, the Atlanta apartment sales group at Cushman & Wakefield tells us, which includes Mike Kemether, David Gutting and Chris Spain. Their sales in the first quarter included six assets valued at a total of $36 million. That's up significantly from the same quarter in '09. Chris says, "It's feeling a lot more like 'business as usual' these days. Liquidity has returned and rents seem to have bottomed out. Product is still scarce, though, which is why we've seen cap rates going down while the number of offers are at an all time high.? |
