DC VegFest Preview!
Wednesday, we headed to the Busboys & Poets in Mt. Vernon Triangle for a preview of DC VegFest 2016!
The annual event celebrates the many joys and flavors of plant-based eating by featuring over 40 different restaurant and food vendors. We snapped event organizers, Compassion Over Killing's Paulette Benjamin, Patrick Horton, Jennifer Mishler, executive director Erica Meier, Robin Walker, and Caroline Donaldson with MBO PR's Mary Beth Wood.
Guests at the preview night sampled delicious vegan foods from Busboys & Poets as well as various local restaurants. Here, SimplifyWithBrooke.com's Brooke Moore joins The Foodie Alchemist, Jaime Rothbard, and Sister Eden Media's Lori Hill.
In addition to the appetizers and dessert selection, guests also enjoyed a selection of beer and wine or, if you prefer, local kombucha. Here, Imperium Global Advisors' Joel Riethmiller with Apco Worldwide's Allison Gittings.
