Last Call: Food From the Bar Campaign

With K&L Gates of counsel and former US AG Dick Thornburgh as Honorary Chair, the month-long Food From the Bar campaign is coming to a close tomorrow. The campaign engages lawyers' competitive spirits to see which firm can donate the most food and funds to the Capital Area Food Bank. There are 35 law firms, five law schools, and seven legal organizations participating. K&L Gates public policy co-chair and this year's Food From the Bar co-chair Mark Ruge says as of Wednesday, the campaign has raised a record $159,384, the equivalent of 398,462 meals. Their goal is $200k, and the organization will collect money until June 5.
