Hospitality industry veteran Alisia Kleinmann(formerly of matchboxfoodgroup) has a new organization, Industree, which is launching a speaker series giving the hospitality community a rare opportunity to swap war stories, dispense advice, and hang out over a few drinks. The first event,May 14, 9am-11am at The Hamilton, will focus onentrepreneurshipand feature Hilda Staples (Volt, RANGE, etc.), Tom Meyer (Clyde's Restaurant Group), and Casey Taylor Patten (Taylor Gourmet). It's open to the public, though Alisia stresses the event isn't about the food--it's about the biz behind the food. That said, breakfast, bloody Marys, and mimosas will be served.
