Dupont Circle Darlington House Building Trades For $5M

Darlington House Dupont Circle

The Dupont Circle building occupied by Darlington House, an Italian restaurant, sports bar and event space, has just been sold to a new owner.

The 8k SF property at 1610 20th St NW sold for $5M, with J Street's Alex Wolff and David Smith brokering the deal.

The buyer was not disclosed but the seller was Kiernan Two LLC. This is likely owned by Peter Kiernan, the great-grandson of Joseph James Darlington, whose descendants have owned the building since it was built in 1900. It was previously the Childe Harold, a restaurant and music venue that once hosted Bruce Springsteen.

Darlington House shares a block with Mexican restaurant Mission and Greek eatery Zorba's Cafe.
