Vornado, Gould Receive Green Light For Rosslyn Plaza Plans

The massive Rosslyn redevelopment project proposed by a JV of Vornado and Gould Property Co has been given the green light by the Arlington County Board.

The JV is planning a five-phase redevelopment of a 7.65-acre site that will consist of five new buildings spanning more than 2.5M SF. The board unanimously approved the plans by a vote of 5-0 on Saturday, the Washington Business Journal reports.

The site is home to the Spectrum Theater, four office buildings and two residential buildings, all of which will be demolished to make way for the new development. Plans call for 1.8M SF of offices, 550 residential units, a 200-key hotel and 45k SF of retail. As part of the project, the developers will also construct a new public park space known as Rosslyn Public Plaza.
